About the Area

Being situated in Somerset, close to the Devon and Dorset borders, Yeabridge Farm is a great spot from which to explore the West Country.
The Royal Oak in Over Stratton is a short walk for that special meal or snack whilst relaxing in the beer garden.

The market town of Ilminster is a 10-minute drive away and has a diverse range of independent shops. More locally is the village of South Petherton with a charming village centre including a small supermarket, a wine merchant, delicatessen, butchers, fish mongers and other interesting shops.

 

There are very few holidays available in Somerset allowing complete peace and tranquility with the sense of stepping back in time.

Staying on a working farm with a family whose everyday life revolves around the production of food and management of the countryside is a wonderful experience.

  • Wide open spaces of Exmoor, The Quantocks.

  • The Fleet Air Arm Museum Yeovilton, see / sit in Concorde.

  • Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford.

  • The Caves at Cheddar and Wookey Hole.

  • The national trust houses of Montacute and Barrington Court and Forde Abbey.

Cycle routes/ footpaths

Very near to Yeabridge is the National Cycle network Route 3 of NCN the West Country Way. The countryside around is ideal for discovering by bicycle. There are a number of walks around Ilminster and in the local area are The Liberty trail, The Parratt trail and Leyland trail.
